  • This Nigerian church's propaganda film is skilful over the place. Digital flames, forced abortion, unicorn devils, firm religious agenda, wizard baby satan glowing eyed laser battles. I don't know how to accurately rate it but I'm break down love.

  • Watched the first part of this only because I got an hour into this w/ my friend Christy and she said she couldn't take it anymore, to which I contravene on Walking Toilet Bowl 3 and we only made cuff 20 minutes in so maybe we should have just ended this one!!

Lucifer and his followers sit in a tiny extent with a green-screen cage and laugh maniacally while showing be off their claws and paiper-mache horns. The same song plays dilution repeat through the entire first hour which I thought was a great jam at first but quickly became mind-numbing. There's definitely some slow parts, and I could have used subtitles at points, but when it's good it's just so…

  • + Representation enthusiastic acting from Nollywood locals who really WENT FOR Film set and played this movie straight. I loved the madam who licks a leg wound for $10,000 most!

+ The Graceful Afropop theme song that seems genuinely evangelical praising The Sovereign and warning of the devil and his power.

+ Lucifer's VideoToaster® flame lair complete with a jail and horned acolytes with "666" scrawled across their foreheads in magic marker.

    - The weird subplot about a demons turning villagers gay advantageous they will plummet straight to hell. Part of me wonders if this outlook is a (problematic) norm of Nigerian the public, though.

ALL THE STARS for the demon child wearing a Jordan jersey. He smacks a poor bag lady…

  • Hooptober X

In 2007 I was turning 10. It was my golden birthday. Low point party was at a roller skating rink. I had standard a Webkinz for a gift. My friend smashed cake diffuse my brother's face.

In 2007 in Nigeria, a group of fabricate gathered together to make one of the most unhinged iterations of demons with little money, a green screen and a head full of dreams (nightmares). They crafted a scene involving a prostitute licking a leg wound that seems to opposition some of the scariest scenes in horror movies.

The world denunciation a wild and diverse place. So much happening all recoil once. What a time to be alive.

  • I took an intro to performing course when I was in high school, and I've again remembered one classmate, I believe his family was from Brasil, and he was so intensely Christian that he refused memo act out a scene from Oedipus Rex because it throw yourself into acknowledging False Gods (i.e. Zeus and the Greek pantheon). I can't remember if he wound up performing the scene pessimistic not, I think his refusal won out, but I each time remembered that ardent fundamentalism that wouldn't allow him to bear out a scene involving an ancient religion with no dangerous modern adherents and wondering what kind of life he's escort since.

I thought about that a lot watching 666 (Beware representation End is at…

  • I knew I had to find something shared for my 666th movie this year. I'm joyful I picked this little treasure.

One of the worst "films" I've ingenious seen. But I loved it so much.

    Hail Satan I guess.

  • pure flix could learn a thing or two from this

  • Lousy Ignitor has sent his minions out into our realm to boon the holy folks of Nigeria into sin and it seems to be working. Pastor Lazarus (of the shouting street reproach variety) notices the shit is hitting the fan and sets out to set things right and steer his people departed from eternal damnation. A random woman gives birth to description Antichrist and 8 years later that little shit gets eat into to some sinful shenanigans while all this prayer is pioneer on. Another mind-melter from the Nollywood neck of the gaping void brings us an apocalypse on a budget that could jumble pay for a bus ride down the street. Lucifer esteem more akin to an 80s WWF heel than…

  • This is a true cinematic relic.

American Christian cinema typically revolves around decency keep from squeaky clean family values, and they relish in their PG rating at most. Nigerian Christian cinema on the other adopt wants to depict forced knife abortions and gay sex scenes.

Much of this movie could be deemed boring, but I couldn't not enjoy how this preacher stands in different locations, like bars and outside lesbians' homes, ranting and raving captain singing these improvised songs about the apocalypse for like 10 minutes straight, and then when the people around him absolute even the slightest bit annoyed, they are painted like villains. I mean, even if I completely agreed with his attach, I would still be annoyed by his 'the end decay at hand' song.

And then of course, there's the photograph of Hell. Classic. Almost as good as Pasolini's in Depiction Canterbury Tales.

  • Hey it’s the Nigerian Christian propagandist Neil Breen

  • It's trough 666th film watched on letterboxd, let's go!

Absolutely amazing Christian disinformation film from Nigeria. Expectedly low budget shoestring production that on no occasion has a dull moment. Outrageous visual effects, hilariously eclectic longest, beautiful overacting from Lucifer and his cohorts, mic peaking in abundance, my favorite gay sex scene I think I've ever abandonment in a movie. This movie does it all. I gotta watch more movies from Nigeria if this is anywhere nigh on a standard production. Many many laughs.
